About Event

Recognized as the largest and most celebrated Islamic arts festival in the United States, the two-day event on November 21st and 22nd, will bring together artists, scholars, performers, and visitors from across the nation for a vibrant celebration of Islamic art, culture, and heritage.

Set against the inspiring backdrop of the Ismaili Center, the festival will feature an exciting array of programs, including fine art exhibitions and sales of contemporary and traditional Islamic art, live demonstrations by master calligraphers and artisans, interactive workshops, and a Sufi music program.

The Islamic Arts Festival serves as a bridge between cultures, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of the rich artistic traditions of the Muslim world while highlighting their relevance and beauty in contemporary society.

With over 5,000 pieces by more than 50 artists on display, visitors can enjoy, appreciate, and purchase art. They can also engage in interactive art sessions, learn about Islamic art and culture, attend workshops, and savor delicious food. Live demonstrations on calligraphy, henna tattoos, ebru, painting, and a variety of children’s art activities will further enrich the festival experience

Who can attend events at the Center?

Events and programs at the Center are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Some events may require advance registration or tickets due to limited capacity.

Events are held throughout the Center’s indoor and outdoor spaces, including the  black box theater, social halls, classrooms, courtyards, and gardens. The event page will specify the location of each program.

Yes, visitor parking is available on-site. Please enter through the gates on West Dallas Street and follow the signs to the underground parking garage. After parking, take the elevators up to Level 1 for building and garden access.

Unless otherwise specified, events are open to guests of all ages. Some programs may have content or space considerations and will note any age guidance in their description.
